Kanarraville Falls

May I start this blast from earlier this year with the statement that this was our greatest surprise find of the year. Just a short 30 minutes from home we found this wonderful hike up Kanarraville Falls. It was spectacular and something that I will always treasure. Not only was the hike great but it had waterfalls, lot's of them and you know how much I love waterfalls. The hike itself is about 2 miles long but you are mostly hiking in water and up falls. The sandstone slot canyon was Kodak worthy for sure. So much fun!

One of the last ladders of the hike was up the falls. Len went up first to check out the climb, it was such cold water but he made it up and then said come on Hip you can do it! So up I went, I am pretty sure that I got much more wet than he did because he is a climber and I am not! So fun!

We love our adventures so much. Some people buy toys (boats, four wheelers, snowmobiles etc) but we use our time and resources to go on adventures and to travel to see our kids and the world. We can only take with us our memories (not our toys) so we try to make as many as time and $ allow us to.

Poser!!!!

Oh my word I can't believe you took a picture of me in this predicament. I made it up but not as gracefully as I would have thought I could a decade ago! Thank you whoever built these wonderful ladders in the canyon.

Truly a gem to be explored again and again. It was a magical day spent with the man I love. Kanarraville Falls we will be back!
