Where are the boys?

These boys are getting so big! Jackson has grown a whole inch in less than a month!
We took the kids to an open house for new homes and they loved touring through and seeing the 'cool' things inside!
What would a day with grandma be without walking to McDonalds for ice cream? That is so much for for all of us!
Jordan especially liked that he could eat the cone although he was a little skeptical at first!

Grandpas little princess

Aunt Misty sent some princess dress up clothes and Juliet loves wearing them and playing dress up anything involving a princess! She says "I a princess"!
Grandpa sure lives his little princess! She sits on his lap and sings songs and tells stories! Makes grandpa happy!

Juliet is 2!!!

Juliet had her second birthday on February 7th! She was so excited because everything was Frozen themed from the Disney movie "Frozen"! She got slippers, dolls, and mega blocks complete with a castle! Balloons and ribbons made for the little princess!
Jenny made and decorated this fabulous cake of queen Elsa from the movie! It was purple inside and very yummy! So beautiful we hated to cut it!
Juliet Turns 2!!!
Pete took her to Buffalo Wild Wings for her birthday dinner! Juliet had fun wearing her birthday crown! Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Clay Pot Painting

I have been having such a grand time painting clay pots! They are like a blank canvas. It brings me great joy and piece to create something beautiful.
The colors and the fun on each pot makes my day happy
I will be planting herbs in my painted pits so I can have a little container garden to pluck fresh herbs from for my cooking!

Sunny Funny Day

Playing in the wash with the boys - no moms and dad's allowed we are going to get rough!
Climbing up the concrete wall was so much fun good thing daddy wasn't there he would have said No! Grandma always says yes - within reason! And safety!
Jordi and Papa are best buddies, run Papa, run fast like a big truck!

Piano Lessons with Grandma

Jackson is almost 7 now, and I have started giving him piano lessons every Wednesday! I think he will pick it up fast he already doesn't want to bother with the little stuff or the theory he wants to play already!
I gave him a treat this w eek because he practiced every day and really made some improvement! He actually went in to the next lesson because he knew he could d I it! His only trouble is focusing and listening to me when I am trying to explain to him! He is doing great though!

Park friends

It was really good to get back to sunny, warm Arizona! We took the kids to the park near our house.
Juliet found a cute little friend. Some other family had their new puppy at the park and miss Juju couldn't resist!
Juliet is is quite the friend maker! She always looks like a princess too!

Snow crazy

My first snow storm of the year. I surely didn't think I would see this much snow this year since we live in Arizona. I went to visit my sister Ann and also see Misty in Colorado!
Woke up Sunday morning to go to church with Ann and her boy friend Joe to this beautiful sight! Ann had to scrap off the car as I was not prepared for this white stuff.
It sure made for some lovely pictures for sure. This railing is at Joes!

Snow storm 2015

The first real snow storm of 2015 and I would be in Colorado!
Here in Colorado for Brandon's retirement ceremony and the weather forecasters did not see this one coming!
All reports said Denver might get a dusting but nothing like this! It us beautiful to look at and so peaceful but I will take my cactus and warm weather any day! I loved gettin these great pictures though! This is just outside Ann's boy friend Joe's house.
Here us Ann's car, needless to say she didn't drive me to the airport Joe did! Tucson here I come!

Brandon retires from 21 years of service

I got to fly to Colorado this week to be at the retirement ceremony for Brandon! He has served in the army for 21 years!
Misty also received an award for standing by her man all these years! It had it's good times and it's bad but she did hang in there!
Misty, Kyla, Casey, Savannah, and Brandon's mom Linda!
It was a very touching and wonderful ceremony!
This was my favorite part, these two sure do love each other!

Fun at the park isn't for just the kids, we got in in the picture taking too!
Jenny us such a pretty woman! I recently colored her hoar for her with red highlights!
Yeah pretty much we are best friends and it is fun to have a partner in crime!

Fun with the kids

We have been able to spend a lot of time with the little kids this week! We have had dinner together, lunch together and fun at the park and back yard! Jordan was playing like the toy box was his bed an wanted me to take pictures!
Grandma bought Juliet some sunglasses and she loved them! She wanted to take her baby for a walk so she could show them off!
Fun on the back patio with the kids and Papa! What a beautiful day, we played while Pete cooked dinner! Yummy taquitos!
Thus little girl and her box, amazing how much fun a Bix can be!

Lunch Time

It is sometimes hard to get Jackson to eat. He is a pretty picky eater. Today though he had a good excuse as he was bonding with his kitty Sky. He has such a good heart and tries hard to do the right things, but he is growing up and finding his own independence which sometimes clashes with what the grown ups want! He can be stubborn as well as strong! He is reading so super good that it gives me shock and awe moments for sure! He just licks up anything and reads every word and understands what he is reading! Head and shoulders above his peers!
Grandma made cupcake treats for after lunch. Jordan really liked the frosting and said yum yum! He is a good little eater and always is grateful for his food. Jordan says the sweetest prayers if you can talk him into it!
Now Miss JuJu she will eat anything! She loves to eat and often. She is such a tiny little girl so she can't pack too much in so bit has to happen more often for her! She is in such a cute phase now and she smacks her lips and makes slurping sounds when she eats so you know it's good!

New Year New Life

Well, 2015 came in with a fury in Tucson. New Years Eve it started to snow, in the desert. We did not expect this when we moved here to escape the cold weather of Utah. Ok, we really moved here to be closer to Pete's family. It makes for a great story though. We went from 75 degrees on December 31st, to snow on January 1st. It is beautiful though for sure.

We lovingly nicknamed these snow tipped Saguaro Cacti, desert candy canes. They were stunning. We drove to the west mountains by Tucson and drove up into the park. What a treat that was. The weather was very cold, only 40 degrees, but we braved it anyway and were rewarded for our sacrifice. What beauty there was everywhere we looked. The Saguaro's on this side of Tucson are much more prevalent than they are on the east side. They are everywhere dotting the landscape, each one a magical mythical figure to us. We find ourselves saying over and over...oh look at that one!

The day wouldn't be complete without a selfie of us two adventure seekers. We feel it keeps us young. We love going out and discovering everything there is and then some. We have started geocaching again so many more good times to follow this year on our blog.

Back to the Future 2015

It's time to start putting paint on the blank canvas of the year 2015!!! It's funny to think that we watched a movie when our kid we te teenagers called "Back to the Future" that actually had the teen star go aged to the future of 2015! We look forward to the new year with hope in our hearts and complete trust in The Lord to guide us in what we need to do and where we need to be! Happy 2015

Day trip to the West Mountains

Th west mountains if Tucson are an extension of the Saguaro National Park. Part of the park is on te Far East side and this one is on the far west. There are actually more saguaros in the west side. Today the cacti were particularly beautiful as it snowed in Tucson last nightAll the saguaros  are covered or tipped with white snow which makes them really stand out against the green desert mountains! Beautiful!
I got to spend the afternoon with my adventure buddy! We can always find somewhere to explore here! So much to see so little time!
