Happy 77th Birthday Mom

February 2 today is moms birthday! She is 77 years young and we love her so much! She has the kindest most gentle heart! She would do anything for anybody and usually does! Mom is my hero! She taught through example that there isn't anything In this life you cannot do or accomish if you want it bad enough!
Mom loves to go on all adventures with us! Game for any ride, hike, or trip! She is a great woman that has lived a hard life! Mom never really had a childhood! It was post war era and money was tight! Her parents worked long hours so there was little if any time for fun things! Her sister Sue was killed by accident in front of her when very young 6 I think and she had to deal with that on her own her whole life! Mom married young she was only 16. She had to grow up fast because she started having children at 17. For all she had to endure, learn, and sacrifice mom was a great mom with so much live for her little family! She always taught me the important things like sewing, cleaning, raising a righteous family, testimony and the love of reading, adventure, joy and love thanks mom for always being therebwhenni really needed you! Happy Birthday today and wishing you anymore to come!

Poor Oliver

We left Oliver home alone while we took our little get away! Grandma B checked in on him for us! A week ago Oliver got neutered so he is looking scruffy cause he desperately needs a bathe! This week he has to have one, I think he is doing well enough recovery wise to get wet! Stitches are gone and he runs around like a mad man!

My new read!

A sweet friend Mel McGee told me Bout this book! She highly recommended it! It is not an LDS author but his concepts relating to our relationship with Gid are very enlightening! He talks about living with God always in our everyday lives! He takes you through a symbolic house likening each room and even some furniture to Gods house using scripture throughout that I compare to my scriptures! Very good book, thought provoking for sure📚

West Las Vegas

You wouldn't believe it because we didn't but right in the heart of far west Las Vegas there is an are where homes are built around this man made waterway! It was so unique to see this, we told ourselves we could live here! Didn't feel like Vegas at all!
The wid was really whipping so I thought I would have some fun! Can buoy see the cool bridge in the background? This waterway goes on for a few miles winding in and outbid houses!
We just loved this area I thinking is called Lakeshores! People who live here have small boats, jet ski, and kayaks to make use of this beautiful place! There ate also an abundance of ducks and waterfowl! They even have signs showing duck crossing warnings and the cars actually stop and wait for them to cross! We sent a video to the grand kids showing it!

More Bonnie Springs Ranch

The Joshua trees were amazing by the ranch, so green and healthy looking we just had to get a shot if them! Look at those clouds they were amazing today!
We stepped inside an old out building that had a large piece of old equipment called a crusher! We could'nt figure out what it crushed but there was this cool chair so I took advantage of a good photo op!
Len is standing on an old fire truck which was pretty cool! He could see how the pedals actually worked to run it back in the day!

Bonnie Springs Ranch

Lens friend Susan James told us about this little western themed park south of Red Rock Canyon by the town of Blue Diamond NV! Not sure if you can call it a town it is pretty small and all but they had a grocery store, library, community center , pool, policeman, hah very primitive though!
At the ranch they were doing a wd west shoot out in the square and then a hanging! The actors were pretty out there but entertain none the less! They asking any one wanted pictures? Well of course!!!

Red Rock Canyon

KWe took a couple days off to go to West LasVegas up in the mountains! What a treat that was for us! It is end of January so it was still cold but he scenery was spectacular! There is a 13 mile drive through the park with trail heads about every mile or so! Calico Canyon was my favorite where we took these photos! The rocks were amazing! Breathtaking views all around!
